Foundations of Acting
(Ongoing Acting Class w/ LA Actress Cindy Hogan)
Access Emotions. Character Development. Scene Work.
You’ll learn how to make strong choices, even with minimal dialogue, and break down tone, energy, and environment quickly and truthfully. Presenting a real character with real emotions as an actor can be challenging, strenuous, and scary. Especially because the emotions an actor needs to access MUST be truthful. You cannot fool the camera. This will be accomplished through a series of exercises.
Deepen your emotional access and bring raw truth to your work in this on-camera acting class. Explore authentic emotions, instincts, and impulses while developing fully realized characters through physicality, psychology, and personal stakes. Practice bringing honesty and nuance to every take, creating work that resonates on screen with clarity and impact.
When: Tuesdays @ 7:15PM EST – In-Studio
