Christy began teaching after seeing actors continue to second-guess themselves in ways that had nothing to do with their ability. After years casting projects like The Newsroom, SEAL Team, Ash vs Evil Dead, and Stargate Origins, She realized what she values most in casting and in coaching is truth. Not perfection. Not trying to “get it right.” Just honest, grounded, specific work. Coaching lets her help actors find that place in themselves - the version of the scene that feels lived in rather than performed.
Christy’s approach is personal, direct, and shaped by what she’s learned from being on the other side of the camera for more than two decades. She pays close attention to what’s actually coming across, where an actor is holding back, and what happens when they let themselves make the choice they were avoiding. She has taught actors in Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, New Zealand, and as an adjunct professor at the University of Texas, and what she loves most is helping them discover the version of the work that belongs to them — the one that deepens the character, sharpens the scene, and reminds them why they do this in the first place.
If you’re looking for a place to stretch, challenge yourself, and get specific about your craft, her classes and coaching are built with that in mind.
