Marissa Paolella (she/her) is a dynamic, emotionally grounded actor with screen and stage credits spanning both coasts and the UK. On screen, she appears in ABC | Hulu’s 9-1-1: Nashville and stars in indie features including Fall Nights in China Grove (Amazon Prime), Sunflower Facade, Journey Man (Prime), and Do You Say What You Mean? Her work has been featured in festival circuits and continues to reflect a strong affinity for character-driven, human storytelling.
Originally trained in New York and London, Marissa blends technical precision with raw, lived-in vulnerability. She is a proud graduate of Rose Bruford College (UK) and Clemson University, bringing a globally informed perspective to her work on camera and on stage.
Her theater credits include Maria Pinnunziato in My Big Gay Italian Christmas and My Big Gay Italian Funeral (Off-Broadway / Ocean Casino), Lucy Grant in Bright Star, and Fiona in Shrek the Musical. Additional favorite roles include Ursula (The Little Mermaid), Paulette (Legally Blonde), Raelynn (John Proctor Is the Villain), Kaliope/Kelly (She Kills Monsters), and Helena (A Midsummer Night’s Dream). She recently brought the house down in a musical improv showcase at Atlanta’s iconic Dad’s Garage.
Now based in Atlanta, Marissa is the women behind the scenes at TWAG. Whether acting, coaching, or collaborating, she values work that is honest, playful, and deeply connected.
When she’s not on set, Marissa is likely at the beach, drinking tea, playing card games, or actively pursuing her lifelong goal of becoming a mermaid.
