Zuri James is an American born actor who has starred in over 30 productions, including Guest Star recurring roles in Paramount Plus’ Mayor of Kingstown, Tyler Perry’s Ruthless, HBO’s Doom Patrol, and a lead in the holiday movie Whatever It Takes.
Other significant roles he has starred in include recurring on Games People Play on BET and a Guest Star role on ABC’s The Wonder Years.
Zuri James was born in New York, NY. He attended Georgia Southern University where he played basketball and graduated with a degree in Finance.
As an instructor, Zuri loves assisting actors in bringing their own unique essence to the work, and putting emphasis on the importance of listening to our impulses and instincts to tell story in a truly unique way. As a father himself, Zuri also enjoys working with kids and teens, assisting
them in navigating their acting journeys in ways that are both fun and rewarding.
Zuri is a published poet and artist who enjoys expressing himself creatively through a myriad of platforms and mediums. He also is an avid supporter of meditation and wellness, and tries to incorporate that in his lessons.
